KCR plans Tamil Nadu and Kerala outreach ahead of election results, Kumaraswamy dials in after hearing of planned Stalin meeting

Amid the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has scheduled a visit to states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the next week.

Amid the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has scheduled a visit to states the of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the next week. As per inputs, KCR will be meeting Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami during the visit in order to discuss the prospects of his proposed 'Federal Front' against the BJP. 

KCR is further scheduled to meet DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) president MK Stalin on May 13 at the latter's residence in Chennai amid his visit to the southern states. 

The two leaders are likely to discuss the current political scenario in the context of ongoing parliamentary elections in the country, sources told Republic TV.

After learning that KCR is going to visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy had a telephonic conversation with the Telangana CM.

Meanwhile, polling for the fifth phase of the 2019 general elections began on Monday in 51 constituencies spread across seven states. Voting is scheduled to take place in 12 seats in Rajasthan, 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, seven seats each in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, four in Jharkhand and five seats in Bihar.

The polls will see seats from where high profile candidates are contending: 

Rahul Gandhi (Congress - Amethi), Sonia Gandhi (Congress - Raebareli), Rajnath Singh (BJP - Lucknow), Smriti Irani (BJP - Amethi), Rajyavardhan Rathore (BJP - Jaipur Rural), Jyoti Khandelwal (Congress - Jaipur), Maharani Kavita Singh Natiraja (Congress - Khajuraho, M.P), Jayant Sinha (BJP - Hazaribagh), Chandrika Rai (RJD - Saran), Poonam Sinha (SP - Lucknow) are amongst those in the fray.
