As the polling phase reached its end on Monday, Press Information Bureau (PIB), has shared a message encouraging any remaining voters to go and cast their votes fairly, while not coming under anyone's influence.

The picture shared by PIB is from the movie Lagaan featuring the famous song 'Baar Baar haan'. The picture shows the Lagaan cricket singing "Baar baar haan, vote yaar haan . Koi kitna bhi bahekaave, chale chale. Koi humko rok na paaye, Vote Karo." (Every time, we will vote. How much ever one tries to influence us, we will keep voting. No one would be able to stop us from voting.)

This is not the first time that PIB has used Bollywood to inspire voters to go out and vote.

"Beta Tumse Ho Jayega," PIB Coins New Spin On Gangs Of Wasseypur's Popular Dialogue; ECI Follows Suit With Aamir And Saina

A few days ago, PIB had recreated a spin to the popular dialogue "Tumse na ho payega"  from Gangs of Wasseypur 2, instead saying "Beta tumse ho jayega" (Child you can do it)! adding  "Vote dene ka maan banaye ho toh lacchan thik hai tumhare ( If you have decided to vote, then your behaviour is fine)"

In yet another instance, PIB posted a scene from 'Border' urging voters to not give excuses to avoid voting. Dubbing Major Singh's famous dialogue, Mathura Das gets yelled at saying,'Plans kiske nahi hote Mathura Das, Agar sabne plans ka bahana bana kar Vote nahi dala to Democracy kaise majboot hogi?' (Everyone has plans. If everyone used plans as excuses, then how can a democracy be strong?)

Voting concluded in 9 states where 72 seats were up for grabs. The Indian general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day, the results will be declared.
