PM Narendra Modi emerges as 'most talked' about national leader as per Twitter during the first phase of Lok Sabha polls 2019, 'national security' the top conversation topic

As the first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections ended with the nation casting their votes for representatives in 91 parliamentary seats in 20 states, Twitter India released the data of the 45.6 million tweet related to the polls from March 11, 2019, the day elections were announced and April 11, the day election began.

As the first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections ended with the nation having placed their votes for representatives in 91 parliamentary seats in 20 states, Twitter India released its internal data of the 45.6 million tweet related to the polls from March 11, 2019, the day elections were announced and April 11, the day election began. Out of the 45.6 million tweets recorded during that period, Twitter stated that 1.2 million users tweeted on Thursday on the Lok Sabha polls 2019.

The data of the politicians and political parties, who have been using the social networking platform, revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerged as the most talked about political figure on Twitter, during the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections conservation. BJP chief Amit Shah emerged on the second place followed by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on third place, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on the fourth place and Cong general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the fifth place. 

 

In the last month, the top conversation topic during the polls between March-April was national security, followed by religion, jobs, agriculture, and taxes and trade.

Voting for the 543 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled to take place in seven phases on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. Counting of the votes will be done on May 23.
