On Friday, after addressing an election rally in Haryana's Rohtak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to news agency ANI and said that the 'Hua To Hua' (So what) comment by Sam Pitroda represents the mentality of the entire Congress party.
Hitting out on the shocking comment of "so what" by Congress party's Indian Overseas chief Pitroda on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in the national capital of Delhi, Prime Minister Modi said:
"This is the case since the beginning, earlier Rajiv Gandhi had said "when a big tree falls, earth shakes", and this is the reason in so many years only Commissions were formed but no action was taken, no one was punished. Kamal Nath was made Punjab's chief, when people of Punjab protested, then they removed him. Now he has been made Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. This comment is not a mindset of one person, it is a representation of Congress' mentality, Congress is full of arrogance, they have an attitude of 'Hua to Hua' (so what), the mentality of 'Hua to Hua' (so what), if the country has been looted then it is 'Hua to Hua' (so what). This arrogance has brought Congress down to 44 seats and this year it will come down further."
On the Congress party claiming that 'national security has been made an election issue and the Opposition criticising the 'campaign mode of the BJP', Prime Minister Modi said:
"Since day 1, we have provided homes to 1.5 crore families, I wanted that the Congress should challenge, I said I gave electricity to 18 thousand villages, they did not challenge me on this, I introduced Ayushman Bharat and gave benefit to the poor in the health sector, they did not challenge that. For farmers we increased MSP, they did not challenge that. It is because Congress cannot fight the election on the issue of development. Therefore they bring lies."
"Whatever danger hits the country, whether from a person, from an organisation, wherever it happens, in water, on land, underground or in space, BJP is dedicated to India's security. We will take stringent steps," PM Modi added
He then highlighted Oppositions' campaign of 1/3rd, saying:
"They are doing a campaign of 1/3 rd. For the first three phases, they abused Modi, then they started abusing EVM and now they have started abusing the Election Commission, When a player fails, he starts abusing the umpire, similarly, these parties have started abusing the EC."
He then declared that BJP and NDA will win with more seats than last time and 'lotus' will be at every corner.
"Since 5 years I am in midst of people, I am not the one who is confined to the PMO. They allege that BJP is in continuous campaign mode, now you ask them why they weren't in the midst of people, after all, we are selected in democracy to serve people. I am telling you with full confidence that BJP and NDA will win with more seats than last time. Lotus will be at every corner."
