Congress president Rahul Gandhi's brother-in-law and Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra has hit out at Union Minister Smriti Irani asking her to concentrate on the election instead of taking a jibe at him.
Robert Vadra took to Twitter and attacked Smriti Irani, targeting her educational qualifications. He said, "India wants to know about your degree/qualifications and the underlying controversy with it".
Asking her to clarify on her educational qualifications, Robert Vadra further added that 'no disclosure or reply mean you are not':
This comes days after Smriti Irani issued a warning to the people of Amethi over the development that Robert Vadra will be the star campaigner for the Congress party in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The Union Minister for Textiles and BJP's candidate for Amethi warned that people living in the areas where Robert Vadra would campaign to protect their lands:
"If Robert Vadra goes to campaign for Congress, please warn the people living there (where he campaigns) that they protect their lands, as a very famous person who is partial to land is coming there"
Meanwhile, as Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli and Amethi went to polls in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections on Monday, Robert Vadra expressed his support to the "extended family members" of both the constituencies.
In a Facebook post, Vadra stated that the people of Amethi and Raebareli will vote against "negativity" and "for change"
