  • Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda has made some controversial remarks against the Pulwama terror attack

In yet another low for the Rahul Gandhi-led grand old party, Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda has made some controversial remarks against the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred by Pakistan-backed JeM suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

In the biggest insult to the Indian Armed forces, senior Congress loyalist Sam Pitroda backed Pakistan and terrorism perpetrating in the neighbouring country saying that one cannot jump to Pakistan only because few terrorists entered the country and attacked it.

"Don’t know much about attacks, it happens all the time. An attack happened in Mumbai also. We could have then reacted and just sent our planes but that is not right approach. According to me, that is not how you deal with the world. Eight people (26/11 terrorists) come and do something, you don’t jump on the entire nation (Pakistan). Naive to assume that just because some people came here and attacked, every citizen of that nation is to be blamed. I don’t believe in that way," said Sam Pitroda as quoted by news agency ANI.

The Congress leader further went onto downplay the Indian Air Force's airstrike on Pakistan's Balakot in the aftermath of Pulwama terror attack in which the largest JeM terror base was destroyed, raising questions on the number of terrorists killed. Reiterating the other Congress leaders stance on the IAF's airstrike wherein Navjot Singh Sidhu. Digvijaya Singh among other raised questions on the airstrike, Rahul Gandhi's aide also referred to international media saying that no terorrist was killed during the IAF's airstrike on JeM terrorists.

"If you say 300 people were killed, we all need to know that. All the Indians need to know that. Then comes the global media which says nobody was killed, I look bad as an Indian citizen. I would like to know more as I have read in New York Times & other newspapers, what did we really attack? We really killed 300 people?," he added.

This despicable statement by the Congress loyalist has come even as the Indian Air Force and the government, on several accounts shown proof of the IAF's airstrike.
