The chief minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has made his way on the list of leaders who have made derogatory remarks pertaining to the Pulwama attack.
From BK Hariprasad's'match-fixing' to Farooq Abdullah's 'doubt over the death of 40 CRPF Jawans', Kumaraswamy during an address indirectly hinted that the Pulwama terror attack was a facade.
While attacking the BJP of misleading people, JD(S) leader accused the government of 'playing with the lives of soldiers', furthermore told the audience to 'not fall for the words' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said, "Today for their(BJP) sustenance, they're playing with the lives of hundreds of soldiers. In the guise of protecting the nation, they're misleading you. Do you need such a PM? I request you to not fall for the words of PM Modi."
Moreover, he alleged how the votes are being 'sought' not in the name of 'development', but the 'need of an able PM' citing national security.
"Today why are we facing conflicts with our neighbouring countries? A retired military officer told me two years ago that they will cook up enmity between India and Pakistan before the Lok Sabha polls to mislead and seek votes from people. I had this discussion two years ago. He's (Modiji) not seeking votes from you on the basis of development but they claim that the need of the hour is an able PM to protect the country."
Congress MP from Karnataka, BK Hariprasad stoked a massive controversy by claiming that the Pulwama terror attack - in which 40 CRPF jawans were martyred - was a 'fixed match' between PM Narendra Modi and Pakistan.
"Ravi Shankar Prasad should clarify whether there was any match-fixing between Pakistan and Narendra Modi. Or else, without their knowledge, this Pulwama instance would not have taken place. If you look at the chain of events that have taken place after Pulwama, it looks like Narendra Modi had a match-fixing with Pakistan people," he told ANI.
Even the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir doubted the martyrdom of 40 CRPF Jawans, saying, "Were Indian soldiers not Martyred in Chhattisgarh? Did Modi Ji go there to give them blood? Did he sympathise with their families? Did he say something about soldiers who were martyred here? But those 40 CRPF people who were martyred, Which I doubt. And I am telling you the truth".
Engaging in the politics of Pulwama, Akhilesh Yadav's uncle Ram Gopal Yadav too made a controversial statement, by calling Pulwama a 'conspiracy' (sajish) and pinned the blame on the government for the same.
