"Straight From Heart": Priyanka Gandhi Posts Message For Rahul Gandhi As He Files Nomination From Amethi; Robert Vadra Extends Support

Hours after Congress president Rahul Gandhi filed his election nomination from Amethi, his sister and party's general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi took to Twitter to post a heartfelt message for him.

Ahead of filing the nomination papers, Rahul Gandhi carried out  3-km road show in the state, which was accompanied by sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and brother-in-law Robert Vadra. Priyanka Gandhi shared a picture from roadshow, expressing happiness over the bond shared by the Gandhi-Vadra family.

She wrote, "Some relationships are straight out of hearts. Today, the entire family was present for brother's nomination. Our father's battle field is the sacred field for us."

Earlier, brother-in-law Robert Vadra also took to social media to extend support for Rahul Gandhi before filed his nomination from Amethi.

"My best wishes to Rahul for a successful, productive and a healthy future, to create the change INDIA requires," Robert Vadra wrote on his Facebook.

Earlier on April 7, Robert Vadra confirmed that he will campaign for Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in Amethi and Raebareli for the Lok Sabha polls 2019. Speaking to news agency ANI, Robert Vadra said that 'he will campaign for Congress party all over India for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.'

On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi filed nomination at the election office in UP's Amethi for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, accompanied by his mother Sonia Gandhi, sister Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra.
