The counting of votes in 542 Lok Sabha constituencies began on Thursday, May 23, amidst tight security, culminating the two-month long election process which witnessed high-octane campaigning of the political parties. With the latest trends showing BJP leading the elections by a stupendous margin, not only the party's members in India but also supporters from around the world seem to have kick-started their celebration.

In the recent visuals coming in, supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Perth, Australia, can be seen rejoicing. All decked up in saffron attire, they can be heard cheering 'Modi-Modi' as they grooved along with the beats of the drums.

However, Perth is not the only Australian city to celebrate BJP's pre-eminence. Earlier on the day, visuals from Melbourne showed BJP members in the state observing the day in a similar way.

Meanwhile, celebrations have also started in Delhi BJP's headquarters. Grand arrangements have been made - from havan that is underway since 7 am in the morning to making of sweets (laddoos), as the party is ready for the verdict. While the leaders of the party across the country are confident about their victory, supporters were seen gearing up for the massive victory.

In some of the videos that surfaced on the internet recently, supporters outside the BJP office were seen wearing T-shirts with "Chowkidar Phir Se" (Chowkidar again) written on them and dancing on the beats of drums, although the final results are yet to be announced.

Moreover, a day before the election counting date, on May 22, a special 7-kilogram ladoo cake was ordered from Bengali Pastry shop. Nine similar cakes of 4-5 kilogram each were ordered to cut at Delhi BJP office after the results will be declared for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

The Lok Sabha election 2019 was held in seven phases to elect 543 MPs from 29 states and 7 Union Territories (UTs) and elect the next Prime Minister. The final phase of polling took place on May 19. The leaders of the party across the country are confident about their victory.
