Two days after an FIR was filed against Salman Khurshid for making derogatory remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Congress leader has raked up yet another controversy.
In an all-out attack at the BJP party, Salman Khurshid has claimed that he is not afraid of FIR, launching a counter-challenge at those who have filed the FIR. He further said that he will tear the FIR into pieces.
"Now the BJP is so frightened, the BJP is so frightened that they have filed an FIR on me again. They have filed an FIR because told someone I am his father. They're so spooked that they filed an FIR. If I'm not their father, then let them clarify whose father they are or whose son they are. I challenge those who've filed the FIR. How many lawyers of the supreme court do we have to answer? The FIR will be answered, I will answer the fir. My friend, my ally Adil Oberoi will call press and destroy their fir tomorrow morning. Tell them, tell them, tell the supreme court that, in front of it I will destroy the FIR's in pieces. Come before me, come before me," Khurshid said while addressing a public rally.
A non cognizable offence information report (NCR) was filed against Salman Khurshid on April 23 by Raydeepchandra, VSP's state media in-charge in Uttar Pradesh' Farrukhabad for hurting 'religious sentiments' and insulting Yogi Adityanath.
Congress party's Farrukhabad candidate Salman Khurshid revitalising the Batla House encounter had dared CM Yogi Adityanath to debate with him on the issue in a Gaushala.
"Whom does Yogi want to fight? I am happy Yogi wants to debate with me. I want to tell him that he can debate about the matter anywhere with me, even in a Gaushala, to know if the cow supports him or not," the Congress leader had said.
The Congress leader had made the comments after Yogi Adityanath, during his campaign rally in Farrukhabad's Mohammadabad, questioned Khurshid's support to Batla Encounter terrorist.
