PM Narendra Modi on Thursday following his mega-roadshow in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and the Ganga Aarti in Dashashwamedh Ghat addressed the huge crowd of supporters from his constituency.

PM Modi spoke about how Kashi had changed him and led him to adopt the mantra of 'India First'.

"Kashi has given so much love that this fakir has become mesmerised. Many question what change has Modi brought in Kashi. I want to tell you all what change Kashi brought in me. It is my good fortune that I could connect with the wisdom of Kashi. 

Because of Kashi, I have come to believe that I will not think of anything except the betterment of the country. Be it the incident of Pulwama or Uri, I have only one mantra for every moment of my life which is  - India First"

FULL VIDEO: The Ganga Aarti At Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat At The Culmination Of PM Modi's Massive Roadshow Ahead Of His Nomination-filing

PM Narendra Modi will file his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Friday, April 26. 

Ahead of filing his nomination on Friday, he carried out a 7-km mega roadshow on April 25, Thursday, in his bastion in Uttar Pradesh.

The roadshow began from the Madan Mohan Malviya statue at 3 pm and ended at the Dashashwamedha Ghat, following which the Prime Minister participated in the Ganga Aarti.

The roadshow saw a large crowd, with several carrying the BJP flag thronging all along the seven-kilometre stretch of the event. People had crowded the balconies and terraces of buildings to have a better glimpse of the Prime Minister. The public stayed on until the end of the event which had gone over three hours.
