Accusing the BJP-led central government of 'Pakoda conspiracy', Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav has given 'Pakoda promotion' logic ahead of phase five of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. While addressing a crowd in Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand, the SP chief said:
"Pradhan Mantri Ji se pucha ke humare nojawan roozgar mang rahe hai... unhone kaha jao nojawano pakode banao yahi ek roozgar hai dusra koi roozgar nahi hai. Batao humare Bundelkhand ke nojawano aap padh lekh kar kya pakoda banana chahtey ho? Kya chowkidar bana chatey ho? Yej janbujh ke bola tha BJP ne pakoda banao. Aisa kyu kaha? Kyoki sajaish kar rahe hai BJP. Pakoda banega kyuki videsh se jo teel aata hi uske khapat zyada hoge. Aur agar khapat zyada hogi toh unhe ke sayogi sathiyon ka karobar badh jayega".
(We asked the Prime Minister that the youngsters want employment...So, he said go fry pakoda because this is the only employment. Tell me all the young Bundelkhandis you are getting educted just to fry pakodas? Or become chowkidar? They purosefully said this because it's a conspiracy. They more pakoda you will fry the more imported oil you will use. This will help increase business of those associated with PM Modi.)
Earlier in the day, attacking Narendra Modi for claiming that 40 TMC MLAs were in touch with him, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said the prime minister should be "banned for 72 years" for his "shameful" speech. The Election Commission has recently barred several leaders including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu from campaigning for 72 hours due to poll code violations.
"Vikas (development) is asking... Did you hear the shameful speech of Pradhanji (PM)? After losing the faith of 125 crore countrymen, he (Modi) is now relying on the unethical assurance allegedly given by the 40 MLAs. This reflects his (Modi) black money mentality. He should be banned for not 72 hours but for 72 years," he tweeted.
