Minutes before counting of votes for Lok Sabha Election 2019 on May 23, Bhojpuri star and BJP MP candidate from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan spoke to Republic Media Network.
On being asked about the election results, the BJP MP candidate said, "I am not tensed, we have worked hard for this day. The strategies and regimes deployed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath have reached villages and small towns. So when the work is good, you will not be tensed, and we have asked for votes according to the work we have done and I am hopeful about the victory".
Speaking about the Opposition's allegations on EVM tampering, just two days ahead of the counting of votes, he said, "The bad things that the Opposition had to say regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sadly were used against the EVMS."
One of the most high-profile Lok Sabha seats in the electorally crucial Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur is considered a stronghold for the Bharatiya Janata Party from where Ravi Kishan is contesting against Madhusudan Tripathi of Congress and Ram Bhual Nishad of SP.
As per the projections of the Republic Double Exit Poll, NDA-led by BJP is likely to cross the halfway mark, with PM Modi winning his second term at the office.
