Prime Minister Narendra Modi won his second term at the office with a landslide victory on May 23. A day after the results for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was declared by the Election Commission, Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli took to Twitter and congratulated Prime Minister Modi on his convincing win. The top-ranked batsman in both Tests and One Day Internationals congratulated Modi by writing that 'We believe India is going to reach greater heights with your vision'.
Even the netizens came forward and joined Kohli in congratulating Modi.
At the same time, they also gave their best wishes to Kohli who will be leading India in the upcoming World Cup.
Earlier, other sports personalities had also congratulated PM Modi after his victory.
Badminton icon Saina Nehwal sent her congratulatory messages with #PhirEkBaarModiSarkaar.
Former Indian vice-captain Virender Sehwag also showered praises on Modi. The ex-Delhi batsman took to Twitter and wrote 'The world's largest democracy has given its mandate. Sehwag then hoped for the second innings of Modi's reign as Prime Minister to be even better so that India continues to progress and reach greater heights'.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote that the nation was with Modi in building a brighter and stronger New India.
