With the election trends showing that NDA will easily win with majority in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister and BJP's candidate from Jaipur rural Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore tweeted about his party's imminent victory.
"Slept well like always, woke up easy, put on music, did a few rounds of SuryaNamaskars, opened my window to the world and the world says #ModiAaRahaHai," the Olympian turned politician tweeted on Thursday.
"I am on my way to the counting center at Jaipur to meet our counting representatives, my salute to the untiring workers of BJP and Jaipur Rural, this is their service to the nation," he added.
He also spoke to the media expressing his exuberance over the party's performance and credited PM Narendra Modi for the success.
"Our ideology is about nationalism and making everyone strong. The party has served every citizen of the country. The credit goes to the leader, PM Modi," he said.
The counting of votes began at 8 am on May 23 in each of the 542 constituencies (the Vellore Lok Sabha polls had been countermanded).
With high-pitched and intense election campaigning, the 2019 polls spanned seven phases across two months, ended on May 19, witnessing the Election Commission handling 22.3 lakh ballot units, 17.3 lakh VVPATs and 16.3 lakh control units. An estimated 67.11 percent voters turned up to cast their votes in this year's elections, which is among the highest-ever turnouts recorded in any parliamentary poll in India since its Independence.
