Earlier, when the exit polls predicted that NDA-led by Narendra Modi will cross the 300-mark and will register a massive victory first time in the Indian political history, Abdullah took to Twitter and said that its time to wait for the results.

Meanwhile, at the time of publishing, NC chief Farooq Abdullah is leading with 82342 votes in Srinagar.

Abdullah has been vocal during the election season to target the BJP and Prime Minister Modi, as well as he has been vocal in backing the Opposition, including West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee when EC cut the campaigning in the state due to unrelenting poll-violence.
