Omar Abdullah's call for a 'separate Prime Minister' over BJP's claims of abrogating Article 370 and 35A has managed to spark controversies in the political sphere, just a few days before the country goes to Lok Sabha polls.

After PM Modi and Union Minister Arun Jaitley, NC leader was lambasted by BJP entrant Gautam Gambhir in a tweet earlier on Tuesday, following which, Abdullah in his response told the cricketer-turned-politician that he is unaware of Jammu and Kashmir, its history or National Conference's role in 'shaping that history'

The Abdullah scion further called out, the former cricketer for 'displaying ignorance' and asked him to 'stick to the things he knows about', citing IPL

Gambhir weighed in his opinion over the issue through Twitter, where he denounced the NC leader saying that he needs a 'green Pakistani passport'

The BJP leader mocking the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that if Omar Abdullah wants a 'separate PM for Jammu and Kashmir' then 'I want to walk on oceans and pigs to fly'

Gambhir further said stated that the Abdullah scion needs 'some sleep and a strong coffee' and if he still fails to understand then he needs a 'green Pakistan passport'

While addressing NC workers in Kasmir's Bandipore, Abdullah's statement came in response to the claims of BJP bigwigs of abrogating Article 370 and 35A from Kashmir to resolve its issue.

He said, "Modi said in an interview that by 2020, we will repeal article 35A. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had threatened us that Article 35a and Article 370 will be removed, but Jammu and Kashmir is not like the other states. Other states became a part of India without any conditions. We made conditions. We did not come for free."

"To maintain our identity distinct, we entered certain things in the Constitution. We said our identity would be ours, we will have our own law, our own flag. At that time we also had our President and Prime Minister, and we will bring that back," he added.
