Congress star campaigner Navjot Singh Sidhu was left red-faced after he was gheraoed by people who chanted pro-Modi slogans when he was at the helipad in Katra in Jammu and Kashmir,
The people also raised slogans against him and Pakistan. Sidhu was then whisked away by the security forces.
He was in Vaishnodevi temple in Katra to for darshan on the occasion of the first Navratra.
Sidhu has been slammed for his constant pro-Pakistan lines which has continued even after the Pulwama attack.
He has called Pulwama terror attack as a 'failure of intelligence' while questioning the impact of Indian Air Force's airstrike in Balakot, despite evidence showing the targets were struck with 100% precision.
Sidhu had already toed Pakistan's line when he ridiculed the aerial strikes in Balakot by the IAF by questioning if they were done to kill terrorists or to uproot trees and hills. But then, he went a step ahead and took four sensitive topics as part of his attack on the government.
Right from Indian government claiming Rafale files were stolen to suggesting intelligence failure resulted in Pulwama attack to indicating terrorist attacks increased under Modi government to mocking the IAF airstrikes despite evidence, Sidhu felt these events casted aspersions on the national security.
"World’s biggest defence deal file lost... Intelligence failure led to martyrdom of 40 Jawans... 1708 terrorist acts... 48 Satellites but Govt not able to discern between trees and structures... Serious aspersions cast on national security," his Twitter post read.
