Amidst reports of rumours of NDA reach out to JD(S) in Karnataka, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment and Republic Party of India supremo Ramdas Athawale spoke to Republic TV's Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami where he said that Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy will come out from Congress alliance and BJP and JD(S) will come together and form the government.
Athawale said that though he had not spoken to the Karnataka CM, he has offered him to join the BJP if he is unhappy with the alliance through the media. Earlier on Tuesday, Kumaraswamy had shed tears complaining about compulsions of being in coalition with the Congress.
"I have not spoken to him. I have a feeling he is unhappy with the alliance with Congress. He is the CM of Karnataka because of the Congress but the party is not giving him a free hand due to which he is unhappy. Hence, I said that if he wishes for the wellbeing of Karnataka he should join the BJP. If BJP and Kumaraswamy form a government, the Centre can do a lot for the betterment of the state.
"Tomorrow if PM Modi becomes Prime Minister again Karnataka could receive more money. I suggest that if he is so unhappy with Congress, then why is he wasting time with Congress? Therefore, Kumaraswamy will come out from Congress alliance and BJP and JD(S) will come together and form the government" he said.
After complaining of his alliance with the UPA, Athawale stated that Kumaraswamy also said that if he joins the BJP he will become the deputy chief minister.
He said, "He is the chief minister and is now crying because he's disturbed of the Congress party but if he joins the BJP he will become the deputy chief minister then he will not cry. There are some problems, and Congress party is not fully supporting him and Congress is thinking they are in majority and JDS is in minority."
