BJP's Bengaluru South candidate Tejasvi Surya on Monday tweeted saying that he will campaign for Sadhvi Pragya Thakur.
Evoking Swami Vivekanand teachings, he said that the young people of Bhopal had received "a historic opportunity to clear the taint of 'Hindu terror'".
"Bhopal calling! Just entered the great land of Madhya Pradesh to campaign for Sadhvi Prajya Singh Thakur. It's my fortune that my 1st campaign program outside Delhi is in MP, where Sri Ananthkumar Ji was prabhari for a long time. People here remember him with such fond love.
"The young people of Bhopal have got a historic opportunity to clear the taint of 'Hindu terror' that Congress had wilfully laid on a great civilization like ours.
"Bhopal, you are performing a great civilizational duty. Remember the words of Swami Vivekananda when you go to vote."
Sadhvi Pragya Thakur is contesting from BJP ticket against Congress' Digvijay Singh from Bhopal. She had been banned for 72 hours by the Election Commission for her polarising speeches.
She had said that Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare had died in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack because of her "curse" and also for stating that she had participated in the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
The Congress complained that despite the notice, pamphlets in her favour were distributed while she visited temples during the time she was banned from electioneering. Sadhvi Thakur has denied the accusation in reply to the Election Commission
