A week after Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy alleged that PM Modi gets makeup and waxing done to get a glow on his face, former BJP MLA Raju Kage has made a derogatory statement against the Karnataka Chief Minister saying that 'even if you shower a 100 times, you'll look like a buffalo'.

Adding to his distasteful comment, Raju Kage's said that PM Modi is "fair and handsome". He said:

'They say Narendra Modi uses powder 10 times, changes his clothes 10 times before coming on stage. Modi is fair and handsome. Kumaraswamy, even if you shower a 100 times, you'll look like a buffalo. What is this? Will your face change if you apply powder or creams? Will you become handsome? Why do you people speak such language?'

Earlier, HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that the media shows only PM Modi's face and does not give enough time and space to the Opposition leaders “as they don’t look good on camera.” Addressing a campaign rally in Bengaluru, he said that the BJP leaders are not campaigning for their candidates but seeking votes for the face of Narendra Modi.

"Narendra Modi, before coming in front of people and camera in the morning does makeup and waxing to get a glow on his face...but in our case, we go out after washing our face and taking a bath in the morning. Our face doesn't look good on camera, so our media friends also don't like to show our faces, they only show Narendra Modi...," he said.

He also questioned the contributions of Modi to Karnataka and Kannadigas. Kumaraswamy was campaiginging in the city for coalition candidate in Bangalore North Krishna Byre Gowda of the Congress, who is also a minister in his cabinet.

However, there are voices both within the ruling coalition and among the opposition, expressing doubts about the longevity of the government after the Lok Sabha poll results are out.
