Personal attacks on rival politicians seem to continue as Congress MLA for Chamarajpet in Bangalore Zameer Ahmed, on Saturday, has attacked the Prime Minister on the basis of his looks, while interacting with the media in Bangalore.
Slamming BJP's candidate for Havari constituency Shivkumar Chanabasappa Udaisi, for asking votes on the basis of Modi's face, Ahmed has questioned why he was not talking about his achievements instead and suggested he wear a 'burkha'.
"Shivkumar Udaisi who is a two-term MP is roaming around and saying don't look at my face. Look at the face of Narendra Modi and cast your vote. How is this justified? You must talk about your achievements. Instead, if you want people to look at Modi's face and vote, you should wear a burkha."
Listing all the problems he claimed to have been created by the NDA government in the past five years, Ahmed said:
"And why should people vote for Narendra Modi? What has he done? Show me one such example that he has done in these five years. The diesel prices have gone up to 900 rupees from 400 rupees."
Taking a jibe at PM Modi's appearance and the fact that he is separated from his wife, he addressed Udaisi saying:
"Mr.Udaisi, he (Modi) had one wife and she left him because his face was not right."
This personal attack has followed former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress Leader, Siddaramaiah's comment that PM Modi was taking undue credit for the Indian Air Force's success in the Balakot strikes, calling him a fool while interacting with the media on Friday.
Karnataka has voted in the phase 2 polls on April 18. The elections in the remaining constituencies will be held in the third phase on April 23. The 2019 Lok Sabha Elections is being held from April 11 to May 19 in seven phases, with the counting of votes scheduled for May 23.
