In an explosive speech during his rally in Tumkur in Karnataka, PM Narendra Modi slammed Congress for creating "Majboor" government and "Majboor" chief ministers and Prime Ministers.
He also said that politicians in Karnataka have been staging drama and a saga of emotions and revenge. He asked the people to if they had ever dreamt of a Karnataka which is in its current situation, to which the crowd responded with a resounding "no".
"You have seen the work of 5-year-old Majboot government and you are sensing the work of Karnataka's Majboor government here. If you want to know what Majboot government looks like then look at Delhi and if you want to know how Majboor government looks like then look at Bengaluru. For past one year, netas are just staging dramas here that is far from over and this drama is one of its kind, it has emotions, it has revenge, and emotions are not on verge of stopping. After a few days and a few weeks their emotions can be seen in rallies and press conferences. Did you dream of this Karnataka only? Then say it loudly (crowd yells 'no'). Development has taken a backseat because of these dramas. You tell me, what happened to farm loan waivers? What happened? What happened to irrigation schemes? What happened to drought relief? This government doesn't have time to think about sugarcane farmers.
"Congress likes this kind of Majboor government only. They like such Majboor chief ministers and they want a Majboor PM too. Majboor chief minister is crying and ministers and netas are busy doing one scam after the other and they know that their government's future isn't bright and that's why they think that as much as they can loot the money in 5 years, they should do it quickly as they aren't sure when they'll go back home. Your work is pending because they are using that money for contesting elections which was meant for your development. There was a Majboor government in Delhi as well before 2014 and at that time too the situation was quite similar to Karnataka today."
PM Modi's comment comes a day after a crying Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy complained about compulsions owing to coalition in the state with Congress.
