Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted the Congress through cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's communal appeal to Muslim voters, urging them to vote for Congress in order to defeat PM Narendra Modi. Tweeting a video of Navjot Singh Sidhu's address in Kerala, the BJP leader said:

"सिद्धू का बयान और केरल में नामांकन का दृश्य एक बात साफ साफ कहता है कि राहुल गांधी पाकिस्तान के अजेंडा पर भारत में काम कर रहे हैं.. ये नए जिन्ना का प्रोजेक्ट हिंदुस्तान में नहीं चलेगा ..जनता एक होगी और पाकिस्तानी एजेंडे को फेल करेगी।"

(Navjot Singh Sidhu's remark and Kerala nomination reflects that Rahul Gandhi is working on the basis of 'Pakistan Agenda' in India...This new Jinnah Project will not work in Hindustan...the people will unite and will fail 'Pakistan';s agenda')

WATCH: Now, Navjot Singh Sidhu Appeals Muslims To Vote In Unison To Oust PM Modi, Targets Asaduddin Owaisi For 'dividing Votes'

This comes a day after Punjab Congress minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, taking the lines of BSP supremo Mayawati, had appealed the Muslims to vote in unison in order to oust the Modi government.

While addressing a rally in Bihar's Purnia, Navjot Singh Sidhu also targeted Asaduddin Owaisi for seeking Muslim votes, after which he called out the '64 per cent Muslim population' in the region to vote to remove the government-led by PM Modi.

"Muslim brother, people like Owaisi want to win by dividing the Muslim vote here. 64% is your (Muslim) population is in majority here and if you will get together and cast your votes, then Modi will be finished," said Sidhu in a public rally in Purnia on Tuesday.

Minutes after stoking a controversy, informed the media that he has not received any notice from the Election Commission. Justifying his statement, he had said:

"Was not trying to divide anyone. Was only saying that Muslims need to unite against PM Modi who doesn't have their best interests at heart. I have not received any notice from Election Commission" .
