Rahul Gandhi's statement translates as follows:

The statement of CP Joshi was contrary to the ideology of the Congress party. Party leaders should not make any such statement that any section of the society should be hurt. While respecting the principles of Congress, the spirit of the workers, Joshiji must surely realize the mistake. He should express regret over their statement.

On Thursday, Republic TV had accessed a video of Congress leader CP Joshi wherein he unleashed class and caste slurs at the Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti and also said that only Brahmins have the right to talk about Hinduism.

Rahul Gandhi is, however, yet to remark on another Congress leader Raj Babbar's shameful statement attacking the Prime Minister by saying that the "Rupee's rate is falling as low as the Prime Minister's mother's age".
