As the state of Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections that are scheduled to take place on November 28, many heavyweight politicians are dropping in to hold election campaigns. However, amid all this, Rashtriya Aamjan Party candidate has grabbed eyeballs because of his unique campaign strategy. Sharad Singh Kumar, who is contesting on the election symbol of a shoe, is going door to door polishing shoes.

The politician says that he will make use of his unique election symbol to turn it into a blessing.

Mr Singh told ANI, ''It was a free poll symbol that no one was willing to take. We took it and we will turn it into a blessing".

However, Mr. Singh is not alone in his style of campaigning is somewhat similar to another out of box campaigning of an independent candidate fighting elections in Telangana assembly polls. Akula Hanumanth from Korutla constituency of Jagtial district is carrying slippers in hand and promising development while claiming, "If I don't work after winning, you can hit me with this slipper".

Hanumanth, while holding a holding a door-to-door campaign in Mettuppalli town was asking voters that he will resign if he fails to bring development. He also promised that the voters will have all rights to publicly hit him if he fails to stand by his promises.

Akula Hanumanth is contesting against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate K Vidya Sagar Rao who in the past has won the Korutla seat three times consecutively. As Telangana is poll-bound, a total of 1,824 candidates will be contesting for 119 constituencies.
