Omar Abdullah on Thursday voiced his opinion on the BJP fielding 2008 Malegaon blasts accused Sadhvi Pragya from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He said that the court should cancel her bail, as, if she is fit enough to contest elections, she is fit enough to go back to jail.
He also attacked BJP for being giving her the ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections, adding that the party made the decision to garner votes.
"We are hearing new things from BJP. First, they tried to fight elections using Balakot and Pulwama. Then, they tried speaking about development, after that they tried the religion card and they know that they will not get votes with Mandir-Masjid. So, they gave the mandate to a person who is an accused in a terror case and out on bail claiming poor health. If she is in good health to contest she is healthy enough for jail as well. I hope the court which gave her the bail cancels it as, if she is fit enough to contest she is fit to being in jail," he said.
National Conference leaders Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah voted on Thursday
On Wednesday, after the BJP announced it is fielding Pragya from Bhopal, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also commented but gave the issue a communal spin.

Commenting on the news about Pragya's candidature, Mehbooba Mufti brought in the religion of terrorists.
"Imagine the anger if I’d field a terror accused. Channels would’ve gone berserk by now trending a mehboobaterrorist hashtag! According to these guys terror has no religion when it comes to saffron fanatics but otherwise all Muslims are terrorists. Guilty until proven innocent," she said.
