Stars including Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, and Kajol were spotted arriving at the polling booths in Mumbai to exercise their right. Joining the bandwagon was actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao who exercised their rights casting their votes at a polling booth in St. Anne's High School in Bandra, Mumbai.

The celebrity pair was spotted proudly posing with their inked finger after they left the polling station.

Some of the big candidates contesting the elections are: Union Minister Giriraj Singh, former JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar, former union minister Milind Murli Deora, parliamentarian Dimple Yadav (wife of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav), three-time parliamentarian Ram Chandra Paswan, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) chief and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha, former parliamentarian Priya Dutt, NCP chief Sharad Pawar's grandnephew Parth Pawar, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, Moon Moon Sen from TMC and Union Minister Babul Supriyo.
