Here's what Priyanka Chaturvedi said in response to Aaditya Thackeray's 'welcome to the Shiv Sena message'

Newly inducted Shiv Sainik Priyanka Chaturvedi on Saturday thanked the people who supported and encouraged her over the decision to quit Congress and join Shiv Sena. Taking to Twitter, he went on to reply to a tweet posted by Aaditya Thackeray, president of Shiv Sena youth wing, welcoming her into the party.

Newly inducted Shiv Sainik Priyanka Chaturvedi on Saturday thanked the people who supported and encouraged her over the decision to quit Congress and join Shiv Sena. Taking to Twitter, she went on to reply to a tweet posted by Aaditya Thackeray, president of Shiv Sena youth wing, welcoming her into the party.

Saying that she looks forward to contributing her very best to the organisation, Priyanka Chaturvedi thanked Aaditya Thackeray for his 'welcome' message. 

Priyanka Chaturvedi on Friday (April 19) joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray. Taking to Twitter, the President of Yuva Sena expressed his happiness over her entry into the party and said, "we have another member in our Shiv Sena Family & team to work selflessly and fiercely for the issues we take up".

Earlier in the day, she posted a tweet stating that she will continue to espouse and work on the issues she belives in.

On Friday, Priyanka Chaturvedi addressed a press conference minutes after joining the Sena and had called out the Congress party over its ineffieciency in taking action against those leaders who misbehaved with her.

In her first interview since leaving the Congress party, Priyanka Chaturvedi had hit out over the events that led to her sensational resignation and her reasons for taking up with the Shiv Sena.

"I want to make it very clear that I am leaving a national party for a regional party, and I am joining with the expectation that my aspirations for Mumbai and Maharashtra in relation to the development of women and the youth can be worked towards," Chaturvedi said.
