INKED: Mumbai Police step up their poll game, share first-time voter cop's photo along with on-duty officers who voted

Encouraging new voters to come out and exercise their democratic right on Monday, the Mumbai police has shared proudly their own first voter Constable Prashant Dhas, wishing him well as he continues on his selfless service in the police.

Encouraging new voters to come out and exercise their democratic right on Monday, the Mumbai police has shared proudly their own first voter Constable Prashant Dhas, wishing him well as he continues on his selfless service in the police.

Mumbai Police, which has deployed squads to all polling booths in Mumbai to help the EC to conduct the Lok Sabha polls in a smooth fashion has shared various other instances of their brave personnel in action on the ground.

Here, Mumbai police officers are seen to facilitate the elder voters to access their polling booths by lending a helping hand.

They have also shared pictures of on-duty police officers who have reported to duty on time after casting their votes in their respective constituencies, displaying their inked fingers.

Mumbai is currently voting in a single phase on April 29. The Indian general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day, the results will be declared.
