Harisaal in Amravati district of Maharashtra has become a center of a verbal fight between Raj Thackeray & the Government. Even though Raj Thackeray's party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is not contesting in this Loksabha election, he is holding mega rallies across Maharashtra. In all his rallies, Raj Thackeray is showing a video of Maharashtra's first digital village Harisal & claims that Government has lied about this village. Thackrey alleges that there is no internet facility in the village and also that the villagers have no jobs and are migrating to other cities in the search of a job.

As Raj Thackeray's videos have become viral on social media, for the first time, the Vice Sarpanch of Harisaal has come forward and refuted all the allegations of Raj Thackeray.

In a Facebook chat from Harisaal, with the villagers, Ganesh Yewle said Raj Thackeray is maligning the image of his village.

"The video, which Raj Thackeray is showing is absolutely false," says Yewle.

According to Ganesh, there is good internet service in his village as more than 12 companies have provided internet service to Harisaal. In the chat, Ganesh had asked people that if there was no internet connectivity in this village then how could they have connected to viewers via Facebook.

Ganesh Yewle also claims that there is a computer lab for the students in this village as companies like HP, Microsoft & others were providing internet facilities.

He added, "Internet works properly in Harisaal. Only for his political gain, Raj Thackeray is misleading citizens about Harisaal."

Ganesh Yewle further adds that good internet connectivity has given a new life to the tourism business in this village.

"The number of tourists has increased since the digitisation of the village. There are ten tourist guides in the village who are beneficiary of the digital revolution," he said.

Ganesh Yewle's claims have exposed Raj Thackeray. MNS has not yet reacted to claims made by Vice sarpanch of Harisaal village. As the Lok Sabha election campaign progresses, the war of words is expected to increase between Government & the MNS.
