WATCH: PM Modi remarks at massive turnout at his Latur rally, shares picture of the crowd stretching miles

While the fever of election campaigning is undoubtedly high among the politicians, what with the Prime Minister visiting as many as three states to address four rallies in a day, the voters' enthusiasm is also just as high, especially if the massive turnout at his campaign rally in Maharashtra's Latur is to be believed.

PM Modi on Tuesday addressed a mega-rally at Latur in Maharashtra - his first of the day - with a sea of people in the audience braving the blazing sun to hear what he has to say.

Taking to Instagram to post a picture of the humongous turnout of people at his rally, the PM extended his gratitude to those in attendance, as he had done in his speech.

A story on his Instagram also gives a bird's-eye-view of a main road completely filled with people making their way to the rally.

In the thunderous speech that followed his note of gratitude, the PM slammed the erstwhile Congress-led government on a range of matters, particularly on national security and for 'speaking the language of Pakistan' in its manifesto, and also proceeded to attribute the grand-old party's indecisiveness for the creation of Pakistan. He also criticised the Congress on the I-T raids that are currently underway, especially in New Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.

"The Congress and Pawar ji's NCP backs those who want a separate PM for Jammu and Kashmir. Does this suit the former CM?" the PM asked.

"Pakistan would not have born in 1947 had Congress leaders acted wisely in the pre-Independence era...They say chowkidar chor hai; but from whom are note bundles seized."the PM said.

He also appealed to the first time voters to vote for the nation. In his appeal to them, he said:

"I want to ask my first-time voters, can your first vote be dedicated to the soldiers who conducted the Balakot air strikes? Can your first vote be in the name of the martyrs who lost their lives in Pulwama."

Referring to the water problems in the region, he asked, "Can your first vote ensure that water reaches the fields of farmers."
