As India goes to polls for Phase 4 of Lok Sabha General Elections 2019, the sports fraternity is coming forward and urging the people to cast their votes for a better future. Eminent sports personalities like Jwala Gutta, Olympic medallists PV Sindhu and Vijender Singh came forward and requested the citizens to be responsible and cast their votes in previous phases, and now, in phase 4, arguably India's biggest sporting icon of recent times has stepped up to the crease.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar came along with his family to cast his vote in Mumbai. Along with his wife Anjali, his kids Sara and Arjun have also joined the 'Little Master' to the polling booth. Both Sara and Arjun were casting their votes for the first time.
"Everyone should vote. It is important for the country. This is the first time that Arjun and Sara have voted", said Sachin after he and his family cast their votes. At the same time he also appealed to everyone to cast their votes.
Sachin had earlier posted a video urging the citizens to come forward and cast their votes on April 29 by saying that 'The right to vote is the gift of democracy'
