Sanjay Dutt joined sister Priya Dutt for campaigning as the latter gears up to contest from Mumbai North Central constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The actor, dressed in a white kurta, was spotted during the Congress leader’s roadshow in the city on Monday. Former Congress MLA Baba Siddique, a well-known name in film industry circles, was also seen with the sibling duo while Priya’s husband Owen Roncon too joined the rally.

Sanjay had accompanied his sister at the time of filing the nominations too. 

Previously, there were reports that Sanjay would be contesting from Ghaziabad, but the actor had denied contesting and asserted his support for his sister.

The Mumbai North Central seat in Maharashtra will witness a heated battle this Lok Sabha election with heirs of two political stalwarts facing off. Priya Dutt, Congress leader and daughter of late Sunil Dutt, is challenging the incumbent MP Poonam Mahajan of the BJP, who is the daughter of late Pramod Mahajan. Mumbai goes to polls on April 29.
