With exactly a week to go for the Lok Sabha polls in Mumbai, Priya Dutt undertook a rally in the city and brother Sanjay Dutt was the star attraction. The actor said he is hoping and praying for his sister’s victory and praised her for the work she did when she was the Member of Parliament. He also requested a journalist to ask about the brother-sister bond when queried about Rahul Gandhi being Congress’ Prime Ministerial candidate.
Sanjay during the roadshow in the city on Monday, said, “She has done very good work. Even our father (late actor-filmmaker Sunil Dutt) has worked very hard in this constituency. I just pray that she gets success.”
When posed with the query about being confident about the win, the ‘Kalank’ actor replied, “I only hope and pray for it.”
He was also asked about Rahul Gandhi being Prime Ministerial candidate from Congress, but sidetracking it, he said, “The political question you should ask the political man (pointing towards former Congress MLA Baba Siddique.) I'm a brother, if you have to ask something about brother and sister, you can ask.”
