"If proven will withdraw my candidature," says Gautam Gambhir challenging Arvind Kejriwal to quit politics if wrong over Atishi Marlena's accusation of derogatory pamphlets

In days ahead of the sixth phase of Parliamentary elections, the tussle on the East Delhi constituency escalated after an accusation was made by AAP's Atishi Marlena on BJP's Gautam Gambhir of circulating salacious pamphlets, that tag her of being a 'prostitute'

In days ahead of the sixth phase of Parliamentary elections, the fray on the East Delhi constituency escalated after an accusation was made by AAP's Atishi Marlena on BJP's Gautam Gambhir of circulating salacious pamphlets, that tag her of being a 'prostitute' 

Retaliating to the issue, BJP's debutant in stern words accused the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal of 'outraging a women's modesty' for electoral gains, and declared to withdraw his nomination if proven to be guilty, furthermore unsparingly challenged the AAP chief to quit politics if he fails to prove the same. 

The vocal cricketer-turned-politician called his Chief Minister 'filthy', moreover stating how he needs his own 'broom' (AAP's logo) to 'clean his dirty mind'

AAP held a conference in the nation's capital city to address the malicious issue wherein a charge was made against the BJP candidate of distributing pamplets claiming Marlena to be a 'prostitute' furthermore appealing the voters to not vote for the 'prostitute'

Marlena blamed Gambhir for 'stooping very low' and broke down. 

She said, "I am very much saddened for doing this press conference. I welcomed Gambhir when he filed his nomination. I admired him as a person. But he stopped very low for just an election. I don't want money and fame. Gambhir's team circulated a letter against me."

Subsequent to the press brief, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal calling out Gautam Gambhir cited the 'safety of women' if people of 'such mentality' are voted in power. 

East Delhi Lok Sabha seat will witness a compelling triangular contest between three candidates - new entrant cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir, Congress' Arvinder Singh Lovely and AAP candidate Atishi Marlena. 

Delhi will see polling in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Phase 6 on May 12. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
