The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come up with 15 names to be the party's star campaigners in Delhi, senior party leader Gopal Rai said on Wednesday.

Gopal Rai further said these names would be submitted to the Election Commission for approval and they would come up with more names in the coming weeks.

"A total of 40-star campaigners will be campaigning for the party in Delhi," he said.

The other names on the list include party members Bhagwant Mann, Sushil Gupta, N D Gupta, Imran Hussain, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Rajendra Pal Gautam, Rakhi Birla, Jarnal Singh and Shahnaz Hindustani, he told reporters in Delhi.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of an alliance of AAP with the Congress in the national capital ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2019. While the Grand Old party's senior leadership from other states is giving a go-ahead for the alliance in the National Capital, Delhi Congress leadership-led by Sheila Dikshit is against the aligning with the Arvind Kejriwal-led party for the polls.

As per reports, controversial self-proclaimed godman Swami Om is set to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the New Delhi constituency. A former Bigg Boss contestant, Swami Om, in a statement said he will fight against the "anti-Hindu" stance of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who had put out a tweet depicting his party symbol, a broom, chasing a "Hindu swastika".

The election to the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital will be held on May 12.
