In a massive climbdown ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Congress and Rahul Gandhi have decided to forge an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in New Delhi, sources told Republic TV.
As per sources, Congress and AAP have also come a seat-sharing agreement in the national capital with three seats in the grand old party's bag, while remaining four to go into AAP's kitty in the Lok Sabha elections.

Official announcement will be made by the top leadership of the parties after having talks with the party leaders-led by Delhi CM.
This development has come hours after Delhi Congress leaders will meet Rahul Gandhi on Monday to hold discussions over alliance with AAP. There has been rifts within the party between the senior leaders over alliance with AAP in the National Capital.
While the likes of Ajay Maken (former DPCC president) and PC Chacko are in favor of joining hands with the ruling party in Delhi for the upcoming polls, former state CM Sheila Dikshit and her camp have been opposing the decision.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal and AAP have time and time again been vocal about an alliance with the Congress, reasoning it to be in favor of the 'alliance' to fight against the BJP. However, the grand old party has been extremely divided over this matter.
Reports have stated that the few senior leaders of Congress at the national level are open for an alliance with the Arvind Kejriwal's party, though, leaders at the state level seem hellbent against it.
On on hand DPCC president Sheila Dikshit wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi urging to not form an alliance with AAP saying that it will harm the party in the long run, AICC spokesperson PC Chacko had iterated that working with the AAP will benefit the Congress against the BJP.
