A day after the exit polls predicting that the NDA will win an equal foothold as the BJD in Odisha, BJD leader Amar Patnaik, on Monday has said that Biju Janata Dal (BJD) 'would probably support some party or combination which forms the Central government if it aggress to settle some of Odisha's long-standing issues,' speaking to ANI.

When asked about the Odisha exit polls released on Sunday, Amar Patnaik who is also the party's IT-cell head has said that it seemed too far-fetched citing that if the sample taken to predict the exit polls is inaccurate then the outcome would also be wrong. He also added that women voters in Odisha will be favouring Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

"They (media) are supposed to be asking questions after the voter he comes out of the polling booth. If the sample used does not represent the voters, then the outcome predicted would be wrong. In Odisha, the number of women voters is 2% higher than the male voters. We believe they (women) have proactively voted for BJD and Naveen Patnaik due to his work. The exit polls which have come yesterday seem too far fetched as far as the BJP is concerned," he said.

UPA is predicted to left far behind with 0 mark, which is similar to its seat-share in the 2014 General Elections.
