Sachin Pilot's supporters block roads in Rajasthan's Dausa, protest against Gehlot's appointment as CM

Sachin Pilot's supporters have taken their protest, for the demand of Pilot to be the CM, on the streets and blocked the roads and National Highway number 21 in Rajasthan's Patoli district.

Update at 6:20 PM: Sachin Pilot requests supporters to ensure peace and calm:

As the tug-of-war between Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot continues for the postilion of Chief Minister in Rajasthan, in the light of the high-powered meeting at party president Rahul Gandhi's residence in New Delhi on Thursday, Sachin Pilot's supporters have taken their protest, for the demand of Pilot to be the CM, on the streets and blocked the roads and National Highway number 21 in Rajasthan's Patoli district. 

Furthermore, Sachin Pilot's supporters including two spokespersons and Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee(RPCC) members also tendered their resignations in protest against nomination of Ashok Gehlot as Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

On the other hand in Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia's supporters have gathered in large numbers at the Congress office in Bhopal, protesting against the appointment of senior leader Kamal Nath as the Chief Minister of the state. 

In the aftermath of the huge victory for Congress party in the assembly election results announced on Tuesday, party president Rahul Gandhi is all set to make an announcement on Thursday where he will officially reveal the faces of the chief ministerial candidates of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Party leaders Sachin Pilot, Ashok Gehlot, Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are in New Delhi for the high-powered meeting with Rahul Gandhi at his residence. UPA chief Sonia Gandhi also joined the party leaders for the meeting.

On Tuesday, by securing 99 of the total 119 seats, the Congress emerged as the single-largest party in the state by a comfortable margin. 

While Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are in the front-run for the post of Rajasthan's next Chief Minister, sources have told that the names of Bulaki Das Kala (who won from Bikaner west) and Hemraj Chaudhary ( who won from Badmer) might be considered for Deputy Chief Minister.
