One of the most vocal Bollywood celebrities on Twitter over various issues, Swara Bhasker has taken her views on the field as well. The actress has been travelling to the interiors to support the candidates she believes in for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. After campaigning for Kanhaiya Kumar, the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ star is now expressing her support for Amra Ram, CPI (M) candidate from Rajasthan’s Sikar. Calling him one of the 'most inspiring grassroot leaders' for his work related to farmers' issues, Swara rooted for him as 'one of the most deserving candidates' who ‘needs’ to be in the Parliament.

Sharing pictures from a rally where she is seated alongside Amra Ram, Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mewani and others, Swara tweeted, “Amraram ji : 1 of the most inspiring grassroots leaders. A peasant leader he’s relentlessly fought for Farmers issues & rights. Among the most deserving candidates in #LokSabhaElections2019 He’s contesting from Sikar on a ⁦@cpimspeak⁩ ticket. He needs 2 be in Parliament!”

The actress also took a joke on herself over a picture of Mewani clicking a selfie with Amra Ram though she was seated beside them, by calling herself ‘third wheel.’

Amra Ram is pitted against BJP’s incumbent Sumedhanand Saraswati, Congress’ Subhash Maharia, among others. He had contested in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and was fourth in the number of votes. Sikar goes to polls in the fifth phase on May 6.
