After the serious differences between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot during and after Rajasthan assembly elections in 2018, there appears to be another rift in the Congress leadership in Rajashtan.

Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are at loggerheards yet again this time over the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

As per sources, Gehlot and Pilot, are fighting over the former's son's candidature for the Lok Sabha polls in the state. Gehlot's son Vaibhav is aspiring to be fight from Jodhpur and Jalore, say sources. He has already begun campaigning from Jodhpur.

Vaibhav Gehlot during a speech spoke fighting from Jodhpur said,

"With your support if Congress party gives me a ticket I would definitely fight the polls. If there is someone else who will stand in the polls, we should strive to ensure he wins the polls. I wish you happy Holi, thank you, Jai Hind," he said.

However, Sachin Pilot, someone who himself is a part of the dynastic politics, has opposed to Vaibhav being a Congress ticket in Rajasthan.

During a media briefing, Gehlot confirmed that his son was vying for a party ticket, however backed away from confirming his candidature.

"The party will take decision on whether Vaibhav will contest or not. The decision is based on winnability. Only then we choose the candidate for the Lok Sabha polls. There are demands from people in Jalore, he could be chosen as a candidate, but whoever is chosen, the karyakartas must do their bit to support him," he said.

Sources have said that both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have been camping in Delhi to pick out candidates for the polls.

Gehlot has been pushing for his son Vaibhav Gehlot to make him as a candidate from Jodhpur seat in front of the top leadership of Congress. Pilot has been vehemently opposing this, the sources added.
