K Chandrasekhar Rao, who's party TRS has won in Telangana, has said that his party will be taking an active and key role in national politics.

"We are being cool and calm, we never cared about Congress and others. We will be taking an active and key role in national politics. I will do national politics from Hyderabad. We want non-Congress and non-BJP rule in India," he said.

He also said that his party supports the demands of the farmers who have been marching from all over the country demanding the implementation of MS Swaminathan report and loan waivers for them. "I am very soon going to Delhi, there are 15 crores farmers in India and Telangana has shown the way to agriculture. The agriculture experts like MS Swaminathan had appreciated the work of Telangana government," he said.

He also promised development and welfare for the people of Telangana. "This is peoples' victory. It's a great victory. We will fulfill our responsibilities."

"Kaleshwaram project will be completed. Dindi project and all pending projects will complete in a speedy manner. To help farmers, we will concentrate on unemployment. Vacancies will be filled up and we will provide employment. The country needs a new economic model and many refinements."

The vote count trends at 3 pm, clearly suggested a huge rout for Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu conceded election defeat in the state and congratulated his opposite number K Chandrasekhar Rao on his impending victory.

The Andhra Pradesh CM, who forged a pre-poll alliance with Congress and other parties to fight the battle in the newest state of the country, wrote his congratulatory message to KCR on Twitter, which read, "Congratulating KCR garu for winning the Assembly elections in Telangana."

KCR's party was leading in 88 seats in the state of Telangana in the afternoon, miles ahead of the Maha Kutami (Congress + TDP + TJS + CPI) which were only ahead in 21 seats in the 119-seat assembly.
