Attacking Rahul Gandhi for his soft stance on terror, Union Minister and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Friday while addressing linguistic minorities at Haryana Bhawan in Hyderabad has said:

"How can the son of the family which has lost two members to terrorist attacks say that Terrorism is not a concerning issue? If such is the case, then Rahulji, why do roam around with SPG protection around you?"

Doubling down, she continued her attack on the Congress president asking the reason for his stance saying:

"Even after events like Balakot, Congress says terrorism is not an issue, but jobs are."

Continuing on the anti-terror tone, she explained the post-Pulwama situation saying:

"PM Modi gave Pakistan an answer for Uri, by 'surgical strike' and when Pulwama happened he answered with an airstrike. After Pulwama, when nothing happened on approaching ten countries,  Modiji called the Air Force and gave them free hand making sure that nothing should happen to civilians and the target would only be Jaish-e-Mohammad camps."

After the successful Balakot airstrike, Swaraj has said that 17 countries had called her saying that Pakistan had approached for their help. She had responded firmly to all these countries saying:

"We cannot take Pulwama attacks as our destiny."

Informing the audience of the various pro-poor schemes of the Modi government, she said:

"PM Modi told that those not having a bank account will get zero balance accounts opened. Following that, Modiji brought DBT- (direct benefit transfer) and every poor person got what they deserve. For the first time, under the Modi government, the backward class ministry was set up and even the general category got a 10% reservation."

DBT is a government scheme which transfers subsidies directly to the people through their bank accounts.

Speaking on the government's health care scheme- Ayushman Bharat, which has not been implemented in Telangana, she said:

"50 crore people are benefitting from the Ayushman Bharat scheme.  I want to tell KCR that Modiji has launched this big scheme, but you are missing out by not implementing it in Telangana."

Telangana with 17 Lok Sabha seats is set to go to polls in a single phase on April 11.
