A week after Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav tweeted a photo of 'Babaji' in saffron robe travelling with him and campaigning for the Gathbandhan, he has put the man on stage as he addressed a poll rally in Lucknow on Saturday, May 11.

Suresh Thakur, the bald man is a look-alike of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had declared that he will be campaigning with him to tell the people of the state the truth about Yogi government.  On Saturday, he was seen waving Samajwadi Party supporters and cheering the crowd as Yadav was delivering his speech.

On May 4, Akhilesh Yadav had taken a swipe at Adityanath in the tweet in which he posted a photo of another lookalike of the chief minister.

He wrote: "We cannot bring fake God, but have brought a baba ji. He will tell the truth about the government to everyone in the state," he had tweeted.

Samajwadi party chief on Saturday also took a dig on rampant encounters by Police, saying that Yogi Adityanath runs a "thoko niti (encounter policy)".
