BJP hits back at Mayawati's 'wives of BJP leaders are wary he'll make their husbands leave them' attack at PM Modi. Here's the party's response

Slamming BSP Supremo Mayawati for her personal comments against PM Modi, BJP spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao, on Monday, has said that Mayawati is deflecting PM Modi's question about her support to the anti-Dalit Rajasthan Congress and has demanded an apology for her comments.

"Mayawati does not have answers to the questions posed by PM Modi as to why she has not withdrawn support to the anti-Dalit Congress government in Rajasthan which has not taken action against the accused in the Alwar gangrape case. So she makes personal comments against PM Modi, who is the pride of the nation and 70 crore women feel proud to call him Prime Minister by providing various schemes like -Swachhata, Ujjwala etc. that have helped women. She (Mayawati) will have to apologize for her comments as people of this nation against a leader who has upheld the dignity of women," he said.

Following this BJP's Puri candidate Sambit Patra has also condemned the BSP Chief asking why she hated PM Modi for whom the nation is supreme. He tweeted:

(I was watching Mayawatiji on TV. The words used by her for PM Modi are very hurtful. What kind of thinking is this? Why is there so much hatred against PM Modi? Is it because he has believed that the nation is his family over his actual family? Mayawatiji, for you your brother is more important, but for Modiji the nation is most important)

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has also condemned Mayawati saying that while she aspire to be Prime MInister, her ethics have stooped to a new low calling her unfit for public office.

Earlier in the day, Mayawati had made a personal jibe at PM Modi claiming that 'wives of BJP leaders are wary for their husbands to be near PM Modi as he may make their husbands leave them,' while addressing the media at the party office in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. 

"I have been informed that wives of BJP leaders seeing their husbands closely interact with PM Modi feel afraid thinking that the way Modi left his wife, their husbands too do not abandon them," she said.   

She also alleged that the PM Modi could never respect sisters and wives as he had left his own wife for political gains while talking about the Alwar gangrape case and the centre's alleged inaction in the investigation.
