As voting in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha election in the country is underway, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has targeted Union Minister Smriti Irani on her allegation of booth capturing by calling her a cry-baby. Responding to his jibe, Irani has said that one who is conducting a press conference is the real cry-baby.

Responding to Republic TV, Irani smiled and said: "If Congress is conducting a press conference, then say who is crying."

On Monday, hours after Irani took to Twitter to allege that Rahul Gandhi-led Congress party is partaking in booth capturing in Gauriganj town of Amethi district, Congress party held a press conference in which its leader Sidhu called Irani a 'cry baby'.

In the press conference, Sidhu who has raked up controversy on multiple occasions during the elections said that Irani has never won an election and therefore she is behaving like a cry baby.

He said: "Smriti has never fought an election. When you fought election for the first time, you were BA pass, the second time you were 12th pass, now it seems she has become KG class child, behaves like a cry-baby. Keeps on crying on every issue. In Chandni Chowk, she was defeated by a margin of more 1.5 lakh, was that booth-capturing? Tell her to win elections first, then act as head of the village. She has not got any proof of what she is saying. First, win an election and then say something."
