"People don't want a government that asks youth to sell pakoras," says Mayawati taking a jibe at PM Modi

With the third phase of polling underway for 10 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, BSP president Mayawati took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday saying that the people of the country do not want a government which asks the educated youth to sell pakoras and tea, and adopts “anti-people” politics.

With the third phase of polling underway for 10 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, BSP president Mayawati took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday saying that the people of the country do not want a government which asks the educated youth to sell pakoras and tea, and adopts “anti-people” politics.

Taking to Twitter, Mayawati said, "130 crore people, especially the educated youth and unemployed, do not want a government which has wrong thinking and instead of providing jobs forces them to sell pakoras and tea and do chowkidari and adopts similar anti-peoples policies."

In the ensuing tweet, she appealed the voters to actively participate in the ongoing polling for the third phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, highlight the fact that the citizens can have a prosperous life by choosing their government.

A day earlier, the BSP chief had also attacked the Election Commission along with the government at the Centre, claiming that the reason behind the EC's 'biased attitude' is because of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Despite criticism from the media, the EC is not working as per citizen's satisfaction and neither are they functioning in an unbiased manner. The real reason for these is the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They are also under the scanner of many accusations related to their campaign in the elections," she had said.

Uttar Pradesh is going to polls in all seven phases in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. In Phase 3, the constituencies of Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Aonla, Bareilly, Pilibhit are witnessing polling. Mayawati had earlier been issued a 48-hour campaigning ban for asking the Muslim community to vote for the SP-BSP-RLD gathbandhan rather than the Congress.
