A plea against the movie Ram Ki Janmabhoomi has been filed in Supreme Court. The plea says that the release of the movie will affect the SC-ordered mediation process which is underway in Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh.

The Supreme Court had earlier allowed the release for the film saying that the parties can reach a conclusion in the mediation and the movie will not impact the process.
The apex court will allow the hearing of the plea after three weeks.

The Supreme Court had ordered the appointment of a three-member panel to mediate the Ayodhya dispute. The panel will be chaired by retired Supreme Court Justice Kalifulla and also comprise Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and advocate Sriram Panchu.

The Supreme Court has ordered that the mediation to be held in Faizlabad, Uttar Pradesh, and that the panel submit a progress report in four weeks - halfway through the mediation's timeframe.
