Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav during a rally in Sahranpur's Deoband made a personal remark on Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath saying that no one will ever take a bath in Kumbh after seeing him do the same.
He also mocked PM Narendra Modi saying that he never saw his 56-inch chest when he took a dip in the Kumbh.
They (BJP) are advocates of religion, but we have only seen the pictures, they don't know how to take bath in the Kumbh. And if we see UP CM taking bath in the Kumbh, we won't ever take a bath there. We never saw 56-inch chest of the PM while he took the dip in Kumbh," he said.
He further criticized the Yogi government for not paying the sugarcane farmers.
He also claimed that there is no difference between the BJP and the Congress and urged people to vote for the gathbandhan.
Mocking Prime Minister Modi, he said:
It is being said that PM has come like a 'chowkidar,' now poor, farmers and weaker sections of society will do a work of snatching the 'chowki of the chowkidar'.
He further said that the Narendra Modi-led BJP government twist whatever they say. Citing the examples of demonenisation and 'Acche Din', he said that 'instead of bringing back kaala dhan, they forced us to deposit our money in banks. they brought bure din.'
Continuing his scathing attack, Akhilesh Yadav said that the schemes of Congress and the BJP are same and both do not favour change. With an intent to appeal the voters, he used the catchphrase of 'vote na ghatne denge na batne denge' (Niether will the votes divide nor will it decrease)
Assuring that the alliance between the SP, BSP and the RLD is the alliance of 'parivartan' (change), Yadav declared this election as crucial for the future of the nation.
